- Creating a stylish but low running costs, facade lighting solution.
33 Wellington Street is a newly refurbished workplace that houses a Leeds-based law firm.
We were asked to enhance the look of the building by adding high-brightness, high-level halo lighting, as well as lower-level lighting that would provide a nice glow around the floor-to-ceiling windows and feature entrances. Additional lighting was also required for the building’s lift lobbies, as well as the benches in the garden area.
For this project, we were able to provide the necessary 4000K LED linear lighting within a five-month period. For the high-level halo, waterproof LED strip lights and extra-deep LED linear profiles were used. These were powder-coated in an RAL number that was chosen by the client and recessed into the building’s façade.
The strip lighting that we used for this area was actually our lower-wattage tape at 4.8W/m, due to it being so bright. We decided that our 9.6W/m tape would have the best LED pitch to illuminate the building’s windows, and this meant there was no issue with spotting.
Finally, we installed higher-power tape in the lift lobbies, which provided the perfect level of lighting and created the ideal ambience for this modern workplace.
